I read in THE ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION of your election to the Board of
Directors of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation and I want to congratulate you upon being
named to the important position of leadership in health care in our State.
Please convey my greetings to the other Directors and be assured of my best wishes for the
continued success of all the Foundation's programs.
With warmest personal regards and every good wish.
Thanks for once again making Leadership Louisville's Diversity Day a tremendous success.
As always, your facilitation of the entire day was outstanding.
I can assure you that Tuesday's session with you will be most memorable to the 1998 Leadership
Louisville class. We truly appreciate your commitment to Leadership Louisville and look forward to next year
A few weeks back I was able to participate in one of your scheduled seminars here at Fannie
Mae. I must say, I had a wonderful eye opening experience. I whole heartedly believe in the
"Each One, Teach One" philosophy and I have been doing just that. Unfortunately, the class was
not long enough to cover everything, but I've been trying to share all the valuable information I
learned in your class with everyone I know. I even had a small dinner party for a few of my
professional friends to share this information with.
I would just like to say thank you for your patience and understanding of my disturbance when I
realized that some of the progress, which so many people fought for in the past was in vain.
Especially when in the end the main reason why I receive my paycheck every week is because
I'm pleasing my boss. A theory which of course has many angles and great topics for discussion.
Again, thank you and I would recommend your seminar a MUST for anyone interested in
moving forward.
Your presentation re: Empowering Yourself...The Organizational Game Revealed received rave reviews from Seminar attendees. They are still saying how wonderful and timely it was. Personally, I thank you for agreeing for the consecutive year to give a magnificent presentation for the Middle Tennessee Society of Human Resource Management. Most certainly, you have established a high standard for programs that our chapter will continue to strive to emulate.
Frank White, Manager Human Resources Diversity Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc.On behalf of Mr. Ben Richards and Mr. Steven Jenkins with the Louisville Urban League,
Ms. Kim Burse with the LCDB Enterprise Group and the Louisville Community Development
Bank, Ms. Sherlene Shanklin with Niche Marketing and all of our sponsors, I want to extend our
gratitude to you for the outstanding Empowerment Workshop you provided for us last week.
We hope you could tell from the standing ovation that your presentation was well received. You
really did a terrific job for us. Everyone seems enlightened and energized. In fact, your ears
should have been burning as you were headed back to Atlanta because many people were talking
about the session and inquiring about your book. You will probably get several calls from people
wanting to purchase the book.
Again, thank you so much for making the workshop a success. We appreciate your willingness to
come to Louisville.
Harvey, I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you so much for the "Empowering
Yourself" message which you communicated to me and other members of the Federal Reserve
Bank of Atlanta staff...
Your class offered me thought provoking and eye opening perspectives on the business
environment and life practices in general. More specifically, I was most impressed with your
presentation on the critical success components and their relationship to upward mobility.
Furthermore, it was reaffirming to hear your sentiment on the most important reason for coming
to work each day - "to make your boss look good." Ironically, this is a testimonial that my father
has vehemently pontificated to me since birth.
I'm sure that over the years that you have garnered your fair share of positive feedback and
accolades from your many students; however, it was important to me to openly share with you
the positive experience that I received from your personal message on success. I will endeavor to
live your message on a day-to-day basis.
Again, thank you for your time and the excitement that you brought to the training class. I
eagerly look forward to our next meeting - hopefully at level six (6) or seven (7).
I am writing to express my congratulations and appreciation to Coleman Management
Consultants for the excellent series of seminars presented during our co-sponsored Veterans
Entrepreneurial Training Program.
The feedback from the students was outstanding. It is a testimony to the enthusiasm and
motivation of these veterans that they were interested enough to give up their Saturdays for a six
month period, as well as the monetary outlay that they had to muster. With that kind of eagerness
to learn, they are likely to be successful in their future pursuits.
I particularly have admired the enthusiastic and productive leadership of Bob Haley in making
this project a success. I know that he spent many long and worrisome hours in bringing this
program to its conclusion.
Again, thanks to you, Joanne, Lynda, Peggy, Betty, Bob and Earl for a job well done.
My apologies for not getting this to you sooner but if you remember, you ran out of business
cards and I did not have your total address.
I really want to thank you for the time spent with the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic
Association during the Diversity Training Seminar - as well as for being such a good sport and
staying at the Days Inn. I have had many e-mails and letters from participants who talked about
what a wonderful opportunity it was and how it has already helped them in many ways. What I
was afraid would be a real challenge, given the make-up of our conference, turned out to be, as
one put it, "the best two days of their professional career". You and Ray had a definite positive
impact on all.
Thank you again and I have a feeling we'll be inviting you back. Many asked if it could be done
for other coaches and administrators from their campuses.
I look forward to seeing you in San Antonio in January.

On behalf of the entire City -- and its disadvantaged residents, in particular -- I thank you for
your commitment to making the Job Training Partnership WORK! You have helped to lay a
solid foundation on which we are building an effective employment and training program.
It was great to have you with us again at our annual investment seminar. Your presentation
was outstanding and enjoyed by all. Judging from the evaluations and comments, your
presentation was one of the banker's favorites this year.
Congratulations on the publication and success of your book. We have enjoyed in tremendously.
Additionally, thank you for your personalizing and autographing the books we ordered. They
were gifts for our Directors and they were thrilled to have them.
We wish you continued success and look forward to working with you again soon. Please call on
us anytime we can be of help.
wanted to thank you for taking the time to join us in Greenville and share your thoughts on
diversity in the workplace. I have received excellent comments from attendees concerning your
presentation and the information you shared. I t was a very thought provoking presentation and
one that I believe impacts all of us. I know that I made specific notes for myself on areas of
which I need to be more aware. I was also impressed how you handled the blown bulb on the
slide projector. It just seemed like part of the presentation!
Many attendees have asked for copies of your slideshow, so I will continue to work with Peggy
to obtain a copy to distribute...
Again, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to meet with us, and I hope your stay
was pleasant. It was a pleasure meeting you.
Thanks so much for joining our Legal Department offsite meeting in Memphis. Your
Diversity Training was enthusiastically received and I have gotten a lot of favorable comments
from the attorneys.
It was wonderful that you were able to join us at the dinner at the National Civil Rights Museum.
It was a moving experience to be there and a fitting conclusion to your training session. I look
forward to working with you in the future."
We very much enjoyed your presentation on November 30. You have provided us with a good deal to think about and we look forward to doing more work with your organization in the coming months...
Raymond M. Fino, Senior Vice President, Human Resources Warner-Lambert CompanyThank you for your presentation on "Empowering Yourself" at the Network Group 1998
National Conference! Our survey results gave you an overall outstanding rating.
Great.
Have him come back.
Excellent, the best speaker I've ever heard. I could listen to him all day.
Outstanding
Very enlightening and encouraging
He should conduct presentations at all Marriott Hotels.
Beyond excellence! On target and very motivating, would like to see him again.
Bring him to all regions.
You enlightened attendants with the information you provided on knowing the "rules of the
game", the "P.I.E." success formula, and your candor on the realities of being "pulled up" in the
organization.
"Unlocking Your Professional Future" allows us to stand on the edge of a new frontier!"
As always, you did an outstanding job. You set the tone for the rest of the meeting and you put on the table some very sensitive topics that needed to be discussed. Because of your presentation, the balance of our meeting went very well. We had some very meaningful exchanges and came away with a better understanding of the special problems that have to be overcome. Setting the stage as you did paved the way for an outstanding meeting.
Stanley A. Brodka; Vice President, Ordinary Agencies The PrudentialThank you for your participation at the First National Conference of the MultiCultural
Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance. Your participation as a keynote speaker contributed
greatly to the quality of this historic event. As president, I was very pleased with the content and
dialogue in each of the workshops and general sessions. Our attendees walked away with
tangible information and examples on how to achieve business results through multicultural
diversity.
Our goal of having MFHA be a source for solutions regarding multicultural diversity could not
have been fully achieved without your participation. Thank you again for your participation. We
look forward to working with you again in the near future."
